Sodalite Cuff Bracelet #10819
$66.00

During the Napoleonic War, the British captured a ship sailing from Greenland to Denmark which happened to include a shipment of a stone described as royal blue in color.  A British chemist was enlisted to identify the new stone which he named "sodalite" because of its high level of sodium.  Years later a granddaughter of Queen Victoria, Princess Patricia, chose sodalite for some of the interior decoration in Marlborough House in England, and since then it has also been known as "Princess Blue".   This freeform cab is worthy of the name, and is set onto a highly polished sterling silver band.
